Placed 5th in the world for beach sprinting!
In this post we hear from our sassy new Personal Trainer Steph Zervos. Steph tells us about her passion for beach sprinting and her recent success while competing in the south of France.
Steph: “I have just returned from competition and I’m really excited to get started at Manly Beach Health Club.
I am a sprinter and I have sprinted my whole life.
I compete in both track and soft sand running, with the 100m and 200m being my pet event.
Earlier in the year I was lucky enough to qualify for the International Surf Rescue world championships which were held in La Grande Motte, France.
What I love about my running is that it’s my time to let everything go and just run free. It’s my time to just focus on myself and what needs to be done in my race. I train on the track twice a week and in the gym every other day. I competed in La Grande Motte (south of France) for beach sprinting. It was an absolutely amazing experience, in which I ended up 5th in the world.
I am now training for the 2015 Australian titles which will be held on the Gold Coast in early 2015.”
